Nick began teaching private swim lessons at a wonderful swim school in Rocklin in early 2008. It was there that he discovered his love for children and the joy that comes from teaching. After years of teaching in Rocklin, Nick and his wife, Shannon, decided it was time to start a business and family of their own, and in June 2013 they formed Pacific Blue Swim Lessons in Loomis. They soon were providing lessons to around 200 swimmers each week in their own backyard pool, much like Steve and Kaleb when they first started.

After 4 years of pursuing their dream, it was clear that their business had outgrown their backyard pool and needed to find a bigger facility to provide lessons. At the end of 2016, Steve Wallen Swim School decided to bring Nick onto the team to help provide top quality instruction to the community. Nick has years of experience with introducing children to the water, swim team preparation, and adaptive lessons for children with special needs.
